About the role
• Working as a SEND / SEMH Behaviour Mentor supporting pupils who need structure, guidance and positive relationships
• Supporting children and young people with needs including ASC ADHD SEMH learning difficulties and complex needs
• Helping pupils manage behaviour, emotions and daily routines
• Building trust and consistency to help pupils engage with education
• Working closely with teachers and wider support teams
• Agency role offering flexible short term and long term placements
• Full time opportunities available during term time
Training and support
• No previous school experience required
• Fully funded training in SEND behaviour management safeguarding and related areas
• Paid, hands on experience in specialist settings
• Ongoing CPD and support from a dedicated consultant
About you
• Patient calm and non judgemental
• Passionate about supporting children and young people
• Comfortable working with challenging behaviour
• Experience in care youth work coaching or similar is helpful but not essential
• Willing to complete training and an enhanced DBS check
• Able to provide suitable references
