Senior Buyer – Sheffield - £45,000 - £50,000
Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering exclusively with an established global manufacturer in Sheffield, who is looking to recruit a Senior Buyer to join their team.
It’s an exciting time for the business, having recently become part of a much larger global group. This pivotal role offers full ownership of supplier relationships and purchasing performance, along with the opportunity to contribute to group-wide procurement initiatives.
Working Hours / Benefits
* Monday-Thursday (7am-4pm). Friday (7am-12pm)
* 25 days holiday + Bank

The Role
* Managing purchasing activity to meet cost, quality and delivery requirements
* Raising and managing purchase orders, including non-routine demand
* Maintaining supplier orderbooks and managing changes to demand and schedules
* Expediting materials to support production and customer delivery
* Building and managing relationships with key suppliers
* Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues
The Person
* Previous experience in a strategic procurement role within a manufacturing environment
* Experience with purchasing precious metals (desirable)
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
* Ability to analyse costs and identify improvement opportunities
