Senior Paraplanning Professional
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Paraplanning Professional to join our organization, playing a pivotal role in supporting financial advisors by delivering high-quality financial planning services to clients nationwide. This position will suit someone who is technically strong, highly organized, and committed to delivering exceptional client experiences.
You will take ownership of paraplanning responsibilities for a wide portfolio of clients across the UK, supporting advisors in the preparation and implementation of financial advice, ensuring all recommendations are compliant, clear, and tailored to client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Report Preparation:
* Prepare comprehensive suitability reports, financial analyses, and tailored recommendations. Liaise with advisors to ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and client-focused financial planning documentation. Communicate with investment and insurance providers to obtain relevant client information.
2. Compliance & Regulation:
* Stay up to date with FCA regulations and internal procedures, ensuring all advice and documentation meets compliance standards. Review and audit client files for quality and regulatory adherence.
3. Client Communication & Support:
* Act as a key contact for clients, managing general enquiries, and updating them on progress with investments, switches, and transfers. Provide a seamless and professional service experience.
4. Data Management:
* Maintain accurate, confidential, and well-organized client files and financial records. Ensure data integrity and privacy at all times.
5. Mentoring & Oversight:
* Provide guidance to junior paraplanners and administrators where required. Contribute to team development and the improvement of internal processes.
6. Technical Knowledge:
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial products and services, including pensions, investments, protection, estate planning, and tax strategies.
7. Continuous Learning:
* Engage in professional development, keeping abreast of industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices to maintain technical excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning is required.
* A minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a paraplanning role, ideally at senior level, is essential.
* Strong report-writing and research skills are necessary.
* Excellent attention to detail and time management are required.
* Confident communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is expected.
* The ability to manage a diverse workload and meet deadlines under pressure is crucial.
* A genuine commitment to a long-term paraplanning career is desired.
