Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen understanding of food safety practices. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of culinary excellence and hospitality.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency in all dishes.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen at all times.
* Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
* Train new team members on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Help create a positive and productive work environment that fosters teamwork and creativity.
* Ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully and meet the restaurant's quality standards before serving.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management practices.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
* A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
