We're seeking an experienced Repairs Manager to lead a high-performing reactive repairs service within a social housing environment. This is a key leadership role focused on delivering safe, compliant, and customer-focused maintenance services while driving continuous improvement.
As Repairs Manager, you'll take ownership of the reactive repairs and maintenance service, leading a team and working collaboratively across the organisation to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes for residents.
You'll be a key decision-maker, influencing operational and strategic direction, while ensuring performance, safety, and customer satisfaction remain at the heart of everything you do.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the reactive repairs service, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
Line manage and develop the team to achieve performance targets and KPIs
Oversee contractor performance, budgets, and compliance
Monitor service performance (e.g. response times, first-time fix, costs)
Provide technical expertise on building maintenance and compliance
Manage complex repairs issues, risk, and escalated complaints
Ensure accurate reporting, governance, and audit readiness✅ About You
Proven experience in housing/property repairs management
Strong knowledge of building maintenance, compliance, and legislation
Experience managing teams, budgets, and contractors
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong IT skills and experience with reporting systems🚗 Additional Info
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle required
