Job Title: Specialist Education Support Practitioner. Contract: Full time, Temporary Leader Education are currently recruiting a Specialist Education Support Practitioner to work as a Learning Support Assistant within a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school based in Cramlington. This specialist setting supports pupils aged 11–16, providing tailored education for young people with a wide range of additional needs. The school is proud of its highly committed and compassionate team, who work collaboratively to create a safe, nurturing, and community-focused environment that enables every pupil to achieve their full potential through a personalised, holistic approach. The role involves delivering bespoke educational intervention programs, supporting pupil-centered planning, and offering solution-focused support tailored to individual needs. This is a long-term opportunity, following a successful trial day, with working hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm. The successful candidate will: Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one Have experience working in a transferable role Follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupil's requirements Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery Set up lessons, equipment and activities within the classrooms.
