Reporting directly to the FD the UK Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the region's accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. Primary responsibilities: Lead all accounting, treasury, audit, and tax reporting functions for the UK region Manage the month-end close process and consolidation for all UK-based operating entities. Supervise a team of four overseeing general ledger, A/R and A/P, payroll, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance. Enforce corporate finance policies by maintaining robust internal controls and procedures. Key owner of all external audits and corporate tax compliance. Provide timely, accurate financial data to support the Global FP&A team with forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Lead, mentor, and develop all direct reports to foster professional growth and ensure alignment across the department. Requirements: 5-10 years of proven success in a Controller or similar senior finance role, preferably with IFRS experience. Strong understanding of UK & International accounting standards, Companies House requirements, and tax regulations Experience with mergers & acquisitions and system integrations - NetSuite experience highly sought after. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions. Willingness to be both strategic and hands-on, actively engaging in day-to-day accounting operations. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Meticulous attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment Key skills for success in this role: Deep experience with UK statutory audit and tax requirements, foreign entities, & foreign currency matters. Understands the importance of technology and utilizing automation to get work done efficiently and drive continuous improvement within the accounting and finance organization. The ideal candidate is someone with 5-10 years of experience in a similar position with demonstrated high functioning capabilities in these areas. This leadership role is both strategic and hands-on, and will be key to supporting our continued growth across the UK and Europe.
