Position: Account Manager
Reports to: Sales Manager
Position Summary
Western Canada's largest Xerox sales agency is looking for a driven Account Manager and Business Development professional who is energized by growth, relationships, and meaningful customer impact in the Manitoba market. This role blends new business development with long‑term account management. You will own your territory, build a pipeline, close new business, and develop trusted advisor relationships with clients over time. The Role
As an Account Manager and Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing revenue within your territory by acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing ones. You will work closely with your Sales Manager and internal support teams to execute sales strategies, maintain strong pipelines, and deliver consistent results. This is a consultative B2B role where success comes from understanding customer challenges, aligning solutions to business outcomes, and building credible, long‑term partnerships. This role requires provincial travel with the main territory of Winnipeg, but includes rural travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development and New Client Acquisition
* Proactively identify, prospect, and win new business opportunities
* Generate outbound activity through phone, email, referrals, and face‑to‑face meetings
* Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline with consistent follow‑through
* Lead discovery conversations to understand operational, financial, and workflow challenges
Account Management and Growth
* Manage and grow an existing portfolio of business customers
* Identify expansion opportunities and support contract renewals
* Serve as the primary point of contact for client needs and escalations
* Build strong, trust‑based relationships focused on long‑term value
Solution Selling and Consulting
* Promote and sell Xerox hardware solutions
* Promote and sell Microsoft Power Platform software solutions
* Position solutions that improve processes, control costs, and support digital transformation
* Collaborate with internal specialists to design and deliver customer solutions
Performance and Collaboration
* Work with your Sales Manager to set goals, track performance, and refine strategy
* Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
* Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and coaching sessions
What We're Looking For
* B2B sales experience or a strong desire to transition into a business‑to‑business sales role
* A self‑motivated professional who takes ownership of results
* Confidence in face‑to‑face meetings, prospecting, and closing business
* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
* Organized, disciplined, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
* A growth mindset with a coachable attitude
Experience in technology, office solutions, or consultative sales is an asset, though not required. We are more focused on drive, integrity, and the ability to build trust with customers.
