Teacher/Progress Leader for Year 10 — Permanent to start January 2026. Salary MPG - UPS with a TLR1A of £10,174.
Oldershaw School is an 11-16 co-educational comprehensive situated in Wirral, which is an easy commute from Liverpool and Chester. This role plays a crucial part in supporting Year 10 students during an important phase in their education. We’re looking for someone who is dedicated to ensuring students succeed both academically and personally, while also creating a safe, positive environment in which they can grow. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, able to balance the academic and pastoral needs of students while creating an atmosphere that promotes positive behaviour and achievement. The successful candidate will have a teaching timetable for their specialism at KS3 and KS4 and be expected to bring out the best in students; engage students through creative delivery and be eager to try new ideas in a supportive environment. Responsibilities
* Support Year 10 students during a key phase in their education, focusing on both academic and personal development.
* Create a safe, positive environment that promotes good behaviour and achievement.
* Act as a proactive leader balancing academic and pastoral needs of students.
* Engage students through creative delivery and be open to trying new ideas in a supportive environment.
* Maintain a teaching timetable for the candidate’s specialism at KS3 and KS4.
Qualifications / Ideal Candidate
* Proactive leader with ability to balance academic and pastoral responsibilities for Year 10 students.
* Willingness to deliver teaching across KS3 and KS4 in the candidate’s specialism.
