Salary: £95–£110 per day (depending on experience) PAYE – No Umbrella!

We’re working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Birmingham looking for a proactive, safety-savvy Science Technician to support their busy science department.
It’s a vital behind-the-scenes role that helps make every practical lesson possible—and every experiment a little more exciting.

The Role
As a Science Technician, you’ll support the delivery of safe, engaging practical science lessons by:
* Preparing equipment and materials for experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
* Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring stock levels are managed
* Setting up and clearing away practical activities
* Supporting teaching staff with lesson preparation and demonstrations
* Ensuring the lab complies with health and safety guidelines (CLEAPSS experience a bonus)
What We’re Looking For
* Science A-levels (or equivalent), with a degree or technician experience a bonus
* Knowledge of safe lab practices and a methodical, organised mindset
* Confidence handling equipment and supporting practical lessons
* A team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
