Trainee Coding & Programmer Placement Programme. This is a training programme with career placement and fees apply.
The programme is designed for individuals with none or limited experience who have a real desire to start a career in programming. It emphasizes industry-recognised certifications, a career-oriented CV and LinkedIn profile, and a credible portfolio to demonstrate skills to potential employers. The programme partners with top UK companies and organisations to place entry-level qualified programming staff who can hit the ground running with up-to-date skills.
Stages and Curriculum
1. Stage 1 – Learn HTML and CSS (up to 12 weeks)
The first step is completing a selection of professional and industry-recognised courses chosen to maximise learning and employment potential.
* HTML Essentials (up to 6 weeks)
* CSS Essentials (up to 6 weeks)
Training is delivered through multimedia video tutorials, presentations and quizzes via an online portal. You will be assigned an expert tutor and a support mentor who will work with you 1-2-1 or in group sessions. Upon completion, you proceed to the next stage.
1. Stage 2 – Additional Online Training (up to 12 weeks)
A selection of more advanced courses to prepare you for entry-level programming roles and help you get ahead.
* Learn the Command Line (1.5 weeks)
* Learn Git & GitHub (1.5 weeks)
* Learn JavaScript (1.5 weeks)
* Learn Python 3 (1.5 weeks)
JavaScript forms the foundation of most online applications. Python is a versatile language used across many industries.
1. Step 3 – Building a Portfolio Website Project (1 week)
Your tutor provides exercises and guidelines to help you build a personalised portfolio. A strong portfolio is essential for a programming career. Optional but recommended study courses are provided for continued development.
* AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
1. Step 4 – Entry Level Web Administrator placement
We assist you to secure your first role utilizing your new coding, programming or web development skills. Entry-level roles typically start between £25K - £40k depending on prior knowledge or experience.
Examples of entry-level roles include: Junior Developer, Website Administrator, Website Support Developer, Junior Web Developer, Content Editor, Wordpress Developer, Junior Software Developer, Junior Front or Back End Developer, Development Support.
