About the Role
We're looking to speak with an experienced and driven Audit & Accounts Supervisor to join the Chester office. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career, working with a diverse portfolio of clients, leading audit and accounting projects, and helping shape the growth of a supportive, ambitious team.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring high standards and adherence to deadlines.
* Lead the preparation and finalisation of statutory accounts, along with related tax, VAT, and PAYE submissions.
* Support and develop junior team members, reviewing work and providing guidance to maintain quality outputs.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering proactive solutions and timely responses.
* Coordinate workloads effectively, prioritising tasks and preparing deliverables for senior management review.
* Ensure accurate time recording and contribute to successful fee recovery across engagements.
Qualifications
* ACA/ACCA qualified with strong post-qualification experience in practice.
* Extensive experience in both audit and accounts within an accountancy firm is essential.
Required Skills
* Excellent communication skills with a confident, client-focused approach.
* Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
* A team leader who enjoys mentoring and working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
* Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero) is advantageous.
* A passion for supporting SME clients with practical, high-quality advice.
