About the client
This Local Authority based outside of London is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the financial management of their Adult Social Care services
Accountabilities
* Ensure the requirements of the Council's financial strategy are met
* Ensure robust financial management, assisting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for Adult Social Care
* Deputise for the Head of Finance, representing the finance team in key meetings and decision-making processes
* Respond to information requests quickly and accurately
* Provide financial reports for departmental meetings as required
* Draft the financial implications for reports to members and directors
* Provide specialist technical advice relating to their areas of responsibility
* Undertake financial appraisals of planned service changes, identifying any significant financial implications
* Evaluate legislative and policy changes and assess the financial impact on the service
Candidate Requirements
1. Possess an accounting qualification
2. Strong experience in financial management within Adult Social Care in local government (E)
3. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
