We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Agriculture to join Loughborough College Group at Brooksby College. In this role you will use your expertise to inspire the next generation of agricultural professionals and help students understand not only how things are done but the vital ‘why’ behind modern agricultural practice.
Responsibilities
* Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons across crops, plant and soil, and estate skills.
* Supporting and guiding students through practical and classroom‑based learning, developing course materials, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of the land‑based curriculum.
* Assessing and reviewing students’ progression in the workplace while ensuring high standards of health, safety, and welfare across all teaching and practical activity areas.
Qualifications and Skills
* Strong, up‑to‑date industry experience in agriculture – ideally with knowledge of crops, machinery, estate maintenance, or general farm operations.
* A passion for teaching and inspiring the next generation, with the ability to explain both theory and practical application clearly.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with confidence delivering to learners of varying abilities.
* A recognised teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards one.
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for visiting students in the workplace.
