We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Leyland, starting in September 2026. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the potential for a long-term, permanent position for the right candidate.
This role is ideal for a passionate teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality education and creating an engaging learning environment for pupils in Key Stage 1. You will play a crucial role in supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development during these formative years.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
* Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
* Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
* Promote positive behaviour and establish clear classroom expectations
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff
* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
* Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils at all times
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 or strong placement experience
* Sound knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills
* A nurturing, proactive, and adaptable teaching approach
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
