Senior Environmental Consultant

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and resolve complex technical challenges relating to nuclear waste management.
* Produce high‑quality technical reports, documentation, and strategic guidance.
* Deliver clear presentations and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
* Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to long‑term capability development.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and customers.
* Contribute to business development and wider consultancy growth plans.
* Support planning, permitting, compliance, and environmental assurance activities.
Experience Required
* Strong industry experience in the nuclear sector, including decommissioning planning and delivery, integrated waste management strategies and waste characterisation, environmental planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
* Proven experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders.
* Leadership or line‑management experience.
* Strong technical authoring and peer‑review capability.
* Previous consultancy experience delivering strategic or complex projects.
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent).
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer/Scientist status is highly desirable.
* Additional nuclear safety or waste management certifications are an advantage.
Security Clearance
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be able to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
