Registrar | 8072 | Secondment opportunity or temporary contract to cover maternity leave | 22.2 hours per week | £27,711 to £30,060 per annum pro rata | Grade F | Norwich
We are seeking to appoint a Registrar on a temporary basis to join the Registrar Service and Norfolk County Council, delivering vital services across Norfolk.
Registrars record significant life events, including births, deaths, marriages, and civil partnerships. They conduct and register marriages and civil partnerships and provide related services.
We need a team member in Norwich to ensure this frontline service is delivered effectively and efficiently. Comprehensive training will be provided for all duties, as registration involves learning and retention of various responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, perform well under pressure, work independently, and adapt to changing duties, which may vary weekly.
Travel to different offices around the county may be required at short notice; hence, a valid driving license and own transport are necessary.
This role includes a regular Saturday shift with enhanced pay.
Applicants should possess excellent IT skills, spelling, grammar, and interpersonal skills. Experience in a public-facing role within a regulatory framework is essential.
Demonstrating a commitment to excellent customer service and meeting high standards for service delivery and teamwork is required.
