We are looking to recruit an experienced, motivated and Senior Speciality Lead for Pharmacy Clinical Trials.
The post holder will lead a vibrant team of pharmacists, technicians and administrators deliver of a diverse range of research projects. The post holder will be expected to manage and develop the team of clinical and support staff, as well as providing expert clinical and research knowledge for both internal and external stakeholders. They will work collaboratively at all levels and across disciplines and agencies to ensure the safe and timely delivery of the research portfolio.
They should have excellent cross disciplinary communication skills, with the ability to organise, prioritise and co-ordinate their own workload as well as others.
They will have extensive managerial/supervisory skills alongside working knowledge of clinical trial management in pharmacy. Applicants should have understanding of the clinical research process, Good Clinical Practice, Research Governance and other regulatory policies relevant to research.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the effective operational delivery of the Clinical Trials Pharmacy Speciality Function and will have a varied and extensive role. Working in partnership with the Head of Research, R&D Delivery Teams and Senior Pharmacy team, clinicians and matrons across the organisation and within each speciality ensuring operational issues are addressed in a timely manner.
This post holder will be responsible for the operational delivery of Clinical Trials within Pharmacy. The post-holder will specifically be responsible for line management, budgetary control, coordination and facilitation of clinical research set-up and oversight within pharmacy.
To lead and/or support with the effective delivery of key operational services for the Clinical Trials Pharmacy Team in line with relevant Divisional and Trust policies, reporting to the Head of Research and the Deputy-Divisional Director of Operations.
To undertake projects across the Division as determined as part of the Division's business planning process or by the Divisional Managers.
