This position is based at our Head Office in Amersham. You must live within a reasonable distance to the office or be willing to relocate by the role commencement date.
Job Purpose
Working for the TEAL Group, which includes The Entertainer and ADDO, you will be part of our in-house payroll team, which sits within the People function. You will be responsible for helping to deliver our Group payrolls for over 1700 permanent TEAL Group employees and up to an additional 1000 temporary store employees at peak. Using our Zellis HCM solution this hands-on role involves preparation and processing of our UK store and Head Office payrolls as well as several smaller overseas payrolls. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our payrolls are accurate, transmitted on time and compliant with all current territory legislation. You will also assist with the monthly administration of our employee benefits, including pension auto-enrollment, salary sacrifice schemes and third-party payments.
You will be an experienced payroller who will bring the expertise and knowledge required to process multiple payrolls from start to finish. You will need to be well organised, accurate and able to deliver results under pressure and to tight deadlines. Payroll system knowledge is essential so you will have previous experience of creating pay elements, tax calendars and payroll parameters. Retail is fast paced environment, and things never stand still at The Entertainer, so you will also need to be energetic and embrace change with a diplomatic and decisive can-do attitude.
Skills & Experience
1. A minimum of 3 years payroll experience with at least 2 years hands on responsibility for processing multiple payrolls.
2. Good working knowledge of current payroll legislation.
3. Experience working in a retail or hospitality environment with multiple sites an advantage.
4. Working knowledge and experience of managing pension auto-enrolment.
5. Experience of processing and managing salary sacrifice and 3rd party payment.
6. Knowledge of Resourcelink, Zellis HCM Cloud beneficial or similar web-based Payroll and HRIS solution is essential.
Responsibilities
7. Preparing and processing our hourly paid and salaried payrolls including starters, leavers, changes. Ad-hoc and 3rd party payments e.g. court orders, bonuses etc.
8. Assist with statutory processes including all payroll year ends, FBI processing, P60s etc as well as providing payroll reports and data to the wider business.
9. Payroll system administration including pay element creation, tax calendars, structural and payroll parameter changes in Zellis’ HCM Cloud solution.
10. Assist with the production of analytical and payroll reporting in Zellis’ RRS solution, and sharing KPI reports with other teams.
11. Ensuring that the monthly payroll reconciliations are completed and shared with Finance.
