Interior Boat Builder
Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Interior Boat Builders to join a busy marine engineering environment, working on high-quality vessels built for global use. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship, particularly within interior fit-out.
Working as part of a skilled team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing a range of interior components, ensuring all work meets high standards and project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Fitting a variety of boat furniture
* Installation of ply bulkheads
* Fitting cabin sole bearers and cabin doors
* Cladding bulkheads with polished veneered ply
* Fitting various fibreglass components
* Carrying out basic upholstery and vinyl work
* Fitting sole boards
* Occasional painting tasks
Requirements
* Relevant City & Guilds (C&G) qualification or equivalent
* Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the marine industry or similar carpentry/joinery background
* Experience working with timber and/or GRP vessels
* Strong attention to detail and high-quality finishing skills
* Ability to work to deadlines and as part of a team
