Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Accountant for our Public Sector client.
Accountable for providing the Finance Officers and Departments with specialised and technical advice. Provide clear, accurate, and timely financial information in compliance with the organisation's timetables and external deadlines to support the financial management and financial accounting functions.
Key responsibilities for the Accountant are;
1. Assist the Finance Officer and keep track of the revenue, capital, and grant budget profiling in compliance with the schedule for creating the budget
2. Keep track of the month-end procedures and make sure they are finished according to the schedule
3. Maintain the capital programme, making sure that any changes are reported and that underspends, overspends, and slippage are identified
4. Complete year-end responsibilities in compliance with the schedule, making sure working papers and subsidiary records are kept up to date
5. To provide information for the Capital Programme and Medium-Term Resourcing Strategy, coordinate, develop, and produce the annual Asset Management Plan
