A residential developer is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor for a short:term contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with procurement and tendering processes for upcoming residential projects. This contract offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to contribute their expertise in a fast:paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and specifications.
* Conducting detailed cost analysis and value engineering studies.
* Evaluating and negotiating tenders from contractors and suppliers.
* Providing support in the selection and appointment of contractors.
* Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
* Collaborating with the wider project team to achieve project objectives.
Skills And Experience
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the residential sector.
* Strong understanding of procurement and tendering procedures.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
* Proficiency in relevant industry software.
* Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
This is a short:term contract position with an immediate start available. The developer offers a competitive day rate commensurate with experience.
