Their entire product portfolio is designed in-house, manufactured offshore, shipped to their headquarters in Carrickfergus, and distributed to retailers across the UK, ROI and Europe. Theyre looking for a commercial Buyer to join the team on a permanent basis. The Role As Buyer, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of commercial collections for one of our clients product categories. You will play an integral part in the full product lifecycle, from initial sampling through to bulk production, ensuring each new collection is developed in line with Brand DNA, and that the appropriate Quality standard is achieved and maintained. You will co-ordinate the creation of comprehensive seasonal range plans, leveraging extensive sales analysis, as well as trend and market research, aligned to sales and margin objectives. You will co-ordinate the sourcing of fabrics, trims and accessories, play a leading role in the product development process, and be the key liaison with an international supply base. You will be responsible for critical path management of all aspects of product development, buying and production. The successful candidate will be commercially aware, with a strong eye for fashion. The role will require the successful candidate to have: - Previous experience in a buying role is desirable. - Previous experience of preparing and planning a garment collection is desirable. - Experience of sourcing and selection of fabric, trims and accessories is desirable. - Excellent IT ability is essential. Strong capability with MS Office packages is desirable. - University level qualification is essential. - A full driving licence, valid passport and the willingness to travel when required.
