Psychology Lecturer (SMU Online)
0.5FTE, 18 hours per week, permanent
Reporting to the Subject Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery and continuous enhancement of our fully online MSc Psychology (Conversion), MSc Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing (Conversion), and MSc Psychology with Counselling (Conversion) programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape innovative, digitally enriched learning experiences for a diverse, global student community.
Working collaboratively with the wider online academic team, including module authors and associate lecturers, you will design and deliver engaging online teaching, foster inclusive virtual learning environments, and support students to achieve meaningful academic and professional outcomes. The role spans curriculum innovation, online facilitation, assessment and moderation, dissertation supervision, and the provision of high-quality pastoral support tailored to the needs of distance learners.
As part of a forward-thinking academic team, you will be encouraged to experiment with digital pedagogy, contribute to the evolution of online programme design, and engage in scholarly activity that advances both your academic profile and the future of online education.
The successful candidate will hold a qualification as specified in the Person Specification, have experience of teaching psychology within a UK Higher Education setting or evidence of readiness to do so as well as experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (LVE)
