About the Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on demand forecasting and inventory planning within the retail and wholesale distribution space.
It does not involve manufacturing planning or day-to-day logistics coordination. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset who thrives on working with data, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing stock performance in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse sales and inventory data across retail channels to accurately forecast demand.
* Generate and manage purchase orders based on inventory levels, promotional activity, and seasonal trends.
* Collaborate and co-ordinate with buyers and cross-functional teams to ensure product availability and stock optimisation.
* Maintain optimal inventory levels across a wide range of SKUs and product categories.
* Partner with retail buying and commercial teams to align stock strategies with trading plans.
* Track and report forecast accuracy, comparing projections to actual sales performance.
* Compile and analyse monthly inventory reports, classifying stock based on movement and performance.
* Proactively monitor and address excess inventory and stock-out situations.
* Manage and update product master data in ERP systems, including SKU mapping, cost of goods, product dimensions, and pricing, in coordination with relevant departments.
* Drive continuous improvement in planning processes through system integration and automation enhancements.
Qualification and Experience
· 2-5+ years of experience in Demand planner role, ideally within FMCG or import/distribution
· Strong Excel skills and confidence working with ERP systems
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
· Highly organised with attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
· Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred)

Location:
This is a full-time role based at our West London Office. While this is primarily office-based, we do offer the option to work from home on Thursdays.
