HGV Class 2 Driver – Skip and RoRo Work People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Rugby, Warwickshire. Shifts • Monday to Friday – 06:00 to 15:00 • Optional Saturday – 06:00 to 11:00 Rates of Pay • £17.30 per hour (basic) Benefits • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • On-site canteen • Training provided • Immediate start • Paid breaks Day-to-Day Duties As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to): • Working on a schedule of Skip or RoRo jobs, all within a 45-minute drive from the Rugby operating centre • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Essential Skills To be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category C licence • A minimum of 2 years' experience driving Category C vehicles • No more than six penalty points (minor infringements only) • A valid UK CPC card and Digi card • Good spoken and written English • Punctuality and excellent time-keeping • Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations • Effective communication skills • Experience with Skip and RoRo vehicles Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience • Knowledge of Rugby, Coventry, and surrounding areas Training Provided • Driver assessment must be completed before starting • Training provided on RoRo or Skip if you are only familiar with one system Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 2 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.
