We are looking for someone who has a foundation degree in nursing or is perhaps a registered Nursing associate to work with us in a busy Emergency Department assisting with patient care. You will be working alongside registered nurses to provide top quality care and maintain patient safety.
Main duties of the job
The Nursing Associate will function at a higher competency level than that of other Health Care Support Workers with responsibility for actively participating as part of the multidisciplinary team within the ward / department, to provide a seamless service to patients with proximal supervision from a Registered Nurse / Practitioner.
You will undertake tasks such as venepuncture, wound care and catheterisation as per job description. You will have excellent communication skills liaising with patients, relatives and members of the multidisciplinary team regarding all aspects of care.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
10. Assistant Practitioner Foundation Degree or Nursing Associate
11. Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant
Desirable criteria
12. Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care
EXPERIENCE

13. Experience of working in an acute setting working with indirect supervision
14. Previous experience of effective team working
15. Demonstrate an insight into caring /supportive role.
16. Knowledge of health and safety, equal opportunities and confidentiality issues.
