The Role
We are looking for skilled and passionate individuals who excel in craftsmanship, mechanics, and hands-on problem-solving to join our team as Rental Fleet Agent at our depot. This role is critical to ensuring our fleet of campervans is maintained at the highest standards, enabling our customers to embark on unforgettable journeys.
As a Campervan Mechanic, you will be part of our Edinburgh team and work with the UKI & Nordics Regional Team. Your primary responsibility is to maintain our campervans in the best possible condition at all times, contributing to an efficient operation and customer satisfaction. What Will You Work On?
Reporting directly to the local leader, your primary responsibility will be to execute all processes and procedures related to fleet maintenance, including but not limited to:
* Conduct systematic vehicle inspections and diagnose problems in mechanical, electrical, heating, and water systems.
* Perform maintenance and repairs on campervans and motorhomes, including:
o Preventive and corrective maintenance
o Light bodywork repairs that involve spare parts replacement (lightbulbs, windows, side mirrors)
o Campervan spare parts substitution and repairs
o Campervan appliances troubleshooting and repairs
o Maintain and develop relationships with external partners
o Coordinate execution of vehicle interventions with external suppliers and regional teams
o Maintain all vehicle information systems updated according to established procedures
o Move campervans to and from local vendors, parking facilities, or other depots
o Maintain depot equipment and spare parts organized and clean
o Maintain spare parts inventory systems updated at all times
* As part of the local team, participate in daily depot operations and related tasks, including:
o Preparation of vehicles and equipment for customers
o Assist with handling incoming reservations, welcoming guests, and check-ins/check-outs
o Receive and organize shipments and supplies, register item consumption and new orders
o Maintain depot equipment, extras, and consumables stored at the depot
Who We Are Looking For
* Education or certified training in mechanics, mechatronics, automotive technology, or a similar program
* At least 1+ year of experience with hands-on mechanical and electrical repairs; campervans experience is a plus
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
* Available to work weekends and holidays
* Valid Driver’s License
* English proficiency and good communication skills
