Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teacher of English you will:
1. Teaching qualification with QTS / QTLS (essential)
2. Evidence of being, or having the potential to be, an outstanding teacher of English
3. Knowledge of curriculum with a proven ability to differentiate effectively
4. Ability to establish and maintain high quality planning and recording
5. Good inter-personal, communication, planning, and organisational skills.
Key responsibilities
As Teacher of English you will be responsible for:
6. To plan and prepare effective teaching schemes and lessons under direction from the Head of Department and within the context of the school curriculum
7. To use regular assessments to set targets for pupils, monitor pupil progress towards individual targets and respond accordingly to the results of such monitoring.
8. To fully implement all school policies for creating a culture of high expectations
9. To provide pastoral support to a tutor group
10. To maintain regular and productive communication with pupils, parents, and carers, to report on progress, sanctions, and rewards and all other communications

Salary
£34,514 to £51,179 per year
(MPS / UPS Outer London payscale) Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
