About us
The UCL Institute for Global Health (IGH) is at the heart of UCL's Grand Challenge of Global Health. The Institute's vision is for a world where international policy on global health is informed by world class research. IGH aims to support the development of robust solutions to aspects of the world's major global health challenges through scholarly outputs, education, public engagement, translational research and ultimately by influencing public policy and professional practice.
This post is based in the UCL Centre for Clinical Research in Infection and Sexual Health. The Centre has a research programme covering a wide range of studies from observational cohort studies, qualitative and mixed methods studies to intervention trials. Historically most of the work has focussed on HIV and other sexually transmitted infections including viral hepatitis. Recently we have expanded our portfolio of infectious diseases research particularly to support studies in TB and COVID-19, and most recently Mpox infection. The centre collaborates with other centres in IGH to provide the support needed to conduct clinical research. We work closely with the Centre for Population Research in Sexual Health and HIV on research concerning digital health and pathways for care in sexual health. In the case of TB, our work is closely linked with the Centre for Molecular Epidemiology and Translational Research, the Centre for Pragmatic Global Health Trials and the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL. These centres host a number of infectious disease studies (including TB) as part of a programme of transdisciplinary global health research.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Nurse to join our dynamic team and gain broad experience in a clinical research setting.
