Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in food preparation and cooking
- Help create and develop new menu items
- Supervise and train kitchen staff
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Oversee food production and quality control
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and equipment
- Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
Skills:
- Food preparation: Proficient in preparing a variety of dishes using different cooking techniques
- Help: Willingness to assist the Head Chef in various tasks as needed
- Supervising: Ability to oversee and direct kitchen staff effectively
- Food safety: Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Restaurant: Familiarity with restaurant operations and industry standards
