This is an exceptional opportunity to make a real difference in a school that is on a journey. Under new leadership, we have recognised significant needs and are looking to increase the capacity and support that we can offer to our children and families.
We need a resilient, experienced and passionate pastoral lead to drive this vital work forward. You'll be joining us at a pivotal moment where your expertise can genuinely shape the culture and future of our school community. While we won't shy away from the fact that this is a challenging role in a demanding context, it offers the rare chance to lead meaningful change and see tangible impact on children and families.
We are looking for someone who combines firmness with compassion, a pastoral leader who can establish clear boundaries and consistent behaviour management whilst genuinely understanding the complex needs behind challenging behaviour.
You'll need proven experience in supporting students mental health and wellbeing, the ability to build trusting relationships with families who may have had difficult experiences with education, and the strength of character to remain calm and solution-focused when under pressure.
If you're passionate about removing barriers to learning, skilled at de-escalation and restorative approaches, and ready to work collaboratively with our new leadership team to create a nurturing yet structured environment where every child can fully flourish and unlock their potential, we'd love to hear from you.
Please see attached job description and employee specification which you should refer to when completing your application to demonstrate you meet the essential criteria for the role.
