Sharp Consultancy are partnering with an established business in Heckmondwike to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract.
About the Role
As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Financial Controller with day-to-day accounting tasks and month-end processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with month end duties.
* Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
* Overhead analysis and cash analysis.
* Ensuring supplier payments are made in a timely manner.
* Daily cash flow spreadsheet update.
* Posting payroll journals and maintaining control accounts.
About You
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.

* Salary £30,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience + benefits package.
