Job Opportunity – Developing People Manager (Maternity Cover)
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Rise:61 team as our Developing People Manager on a 13 month contract due to staff going off on Maternity Leave.
Leading the Development of Community Champions The new Developing People Manager will lead the programme designed to invest in individuals physically, emotionally, spiritually and practically. The ultimate goal of this key program is to see a group of empowered community champions rise up from the estate. Key responsibilities for this leadership role include:
* Programme Leadership: Planning and delivering the Developing People programme, which involves managing staffing, budgets, and venues.
* Team Development: Leading the recruitment, management, and development of the charity's crucial volunteers, young leaders, and sessional youth workers.
* Safeguarding: Acting as the Deputy Safeguarding lead for Rise:61.
* Partnership Building: Building effective relationships with other organisations and key community members to ensure a robust ecosystem of support is available for families.
* Wider Contribution: Playing a vital role in the wider work of the charity, including fundraising, reporting, and impact measurement.
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver quality development work throughout the year, and will help mentor young people and contribute to community events.
Contract Details
This is a maternity cover contract for 13 months, running until early January 2027. The position is for 20 hours a week, though flexibility is possible for the right candidate. The Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) annual wage is £33,000 (based on 37.5 hours per week)
