Technical Specialist - Control Room Salary - £30,024 - £33,699 (Grade 5) 10% shift allowance Hours - 37 hours per week between 06:00 – 20:00hrs Monday-Friday and 09:00-18:30hrs Saturday across 5 out of 7day period. Contract type - Full time, permanent Workstyle - Fixed This role requires a Current valid UK driving licence. As part of this role, you will participate in an out of hours service between 20:00-06:00hrs Monday-Friday, Saturday before 09:00hrs and after 18:30hrs and Sundays, as required. We are seeking a skilled Technical Specialist to join our Network Management Control Room team. As a Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation and maintenance of our Control Room systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements. Role responsibilities: To operate the systems, for the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of the Control Room including TMS, CCTV, MYCITY and Car Park control and access systems. To ensure such systems are operated in compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements including the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Data Protection Act 1998. To work under the supervision and general direction of the Technical Specialist Control Room Systems. To assist with the financial management of the service including annual charges review, monitoring budgets, processing purchase orders, invoices, sales orders and chasing outstanding income. Role requirements: 5 GCSE’s to include Maths, English and a Science at grade 5 or above/or equivalent in a related subject. Current full UK driving licence. Our working arrangements All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style.
