As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Area Manager, you’ll lead and mentor a team of expert technicians dedicated to equipment reliability, contributing to a supportive and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
* Support colleagues in site compliance with safety policies and procedures
* Implement EU network standards, plan preventative maintenance and ensure technical availability
* Collaborate with colleagues to collect and analyse data to improve processes
* Deliver and support both site-based and network-level projects
* Lead, support and mentor your team to develop their career
* A day in the life: based at one of our operational sites, provide practical guidance, collect data, solve problems, create an operational plan, and set up projects to improve processes and equipment maintenance; lead and manage performance and development, including training
About the Team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps equipment performing at its best. We maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across Amazon’s global network of fulfilment centres. We focus on reducing downtime and keeping sites safe and efficient. There are opportunities for progression within RME and across Amazon. We work with cutting-edge tech like Amazon Robotics and Complex Item Sorter.
Basic Qualifications
* Relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment handling complex processes
* Experience managing people in an engineering team
* Experience liaising with and managing relationships with stakeholders including third-party vendors
* Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and upper-intermediate proficiency in local language
Preferred Qualifications
* A degree in Engineering or another technical field
* A UK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), BTEC National Diploma (OND), Ieng, CEng or ILM L4+
* Experience with statutory regulations, compliance checks, and machine safety protocols
* Experience with automated equipment, packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems
* Experience using data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems
* Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes
* Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
