Job Description
Our client is a global consulting business provide support to global household names through their group of businesses.
They seek a management accountant to join the team based in Wallingford to provide support to the Financial Controller, preparing management accounts, analysing financial performance and providing financial insight.
The role requires previous management accounts experience, they are willing to provide further support, and study if required, to develop these skills.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
* Management Reporting: Prepare and present management reports that provide clear and actionable insights into financial performance.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Work with the FC/FD and the Board to develop, monitor, and update budgets and forecasts in alignment with the company's strategic goals.
* Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
* Cost Management: Monitor and control costs, ensuring that expenditures align with budgeted amounts and financial objectives.
* Project Reviews: Work with Project teams to conduct post-mortem analysis of revenues and costs on projects versus budgets
* Business Partnering: Work with Regional MDs and Business Unit heads to help them understand their financials and help with local decision making
Successful candidates will have a minimum of three years management accounts experience. You will either be CIMA / ACCA qualified or studying towards. Advanced Excel skills are essential. Knowledge of PowerBI / Tableau or similar dashboard/analytics software is desirable. There is ample further opportunity within this business and they offer a excellent environment for development.
