Seasonal Sales Assistant - Host role at Dunelm. This is a Seasonal position with an end date of 14th February 2026. Pay varies by age: 16-17 - £7.55 per hour; 18+ - £12.21 per hour. The store is looking for 16hrs per week.
Every visit to our store is a chance to make someone’s day — and you’ll be right there to make sure it happens, from the first hello to the final thank you. Our Sales Assistants are the foundation of our stores, focused on creating great experiences and helping customers find what they need with a personal touch. As a host, you’ll be the first smile our customers see and help them bring their vision to life. You’ll be confident recommending products, spotting opportunities to upsell, and creating moments of joy that make a big difference. You’ll also be tech-savvy, using our systems to check stock, organise home delivery, and handle inquiries.
Responsibilities
* Greet customers on the shop floor, understand what they are looking for, and help them find products that meet their needs.
* Recommend products, upsell where appropriate, and create positive, memorable experiences for customers.
* Use store systems to check stock, organise home delivery, and assist with queries; promote online exclusives where relevant.
* Ensure customers leave with what they came for and with a lasting positive impression.
Qualifications
* Availability for 16 hours per week; eligibility for 18+ pay rate where applicable.
* Customer-service oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
* Tech-savvy and comfortable using store systems.
