About the Role:
As Senior Support Coordinator, you'll ensure the seamless delivery of care by managing weekly rotas, supervising support staff, and maintaining high standards of care across our services. You will act as the lead of our coordinator team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the unique demands of coordinating home care services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create, manage, and distribute weekly staff rotas with attention to travel time and continuity of care.
* Supervise and support a team of dedicated Support Workers to deliver quality, person-centred care.
* Liaise with clients and families to handle enquiries professionally and compassionately.
* Work closely with recruitment teams to ensure current and future staffing needs are met.
* Participate in the on-call rota (up to fortnightly) to manage out-of-hours issues.
* Conduct service user assessments, care reviews, and staff spot checks.
* Support the Registered Manager with staff appraisals and identifying training needs.
* Lead the coordinator team, ensuring consistent high standards across the team.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a care coordination or supervisory role within domiciliary/home care (essential).
* Demonstrated ability to manage staff rotas
* Ability to effectively work under pressure.
* Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
* Excellent IT literacy, including care systems.
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, including willingness to have business vehicle insurance (essential).
* Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends when required.
* Out of hours on-call duties up to fortnightly.
