Job Description:
We are a small business / pottery company known for our handcrafted mugs, and we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our team on a temporary basis (extension to be discussed post-Christmas). This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of the initial stages of our production process, particularly during the busy holiday season.
Key Responsibilities:
Mug Production Assistance:
- Assist in the production of mugs, including basic pottery tasks.
- Ensure all products meet our quality standards before packaging.
* Prepping various clay components for the full assembly of stock and custom orders.
* Painting various stock and custom orders.
* Progress through training leading to independent work as a maker.
Contract Type:
- Zero-hour contract until Christmas, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
- Guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week until Christmas, with potential for additional hours during peak periods.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a production or customer service role is a plus, but not required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks, including potential mug-making duties.
Working Hours:
- Flexible, with the requirement to meet the minimum guaranteed hours.
-Usual working hours will be between 9-5 weekdays only.
