Delivery Postie with Driving – Oswestry Delivery Office (SY10 8GP)
Job reference: 331939 • Location: Oswestry Delivery Office, SY10 8GP • Job type: Permanent contract • Hours: 30 hours per week, 5 days across Monday – Sunday, 08:00 – 14:00 and 12:00 – 18:00. Due to operational demand, you will be required to work weekends.

A Bit About You
* Upbeat, independent and self-motivated
* Organised, punctual and ready to deliver great customer service
* Think of yourself as a people-person and a friendly face in the community
* Happy walking for long periods and working outside in any weather
* Has a strong sense of community and takes pride in what you do
* Has a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
Responsibilities
* Deliver letters and parcels to customers in a defined local area
* Walk routes when not driving; handle mail securely and attentively
* Provide excellent customer service and represent Royal Mail in the community
* Comply with all health and safety and operational requirements
What We Do For You
* A guaranteed hourly rate of £13.06 p/h (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours)
* Paid overtime at enhanced rate (x1.25) for hours over 40 per week
* 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (adjusted to your working hours if below 40 hours)

Please note: Roles offering between 35-40 hours per week are listed as full-time for candidate search purposes. Any role under 40 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.
