Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team at HMP The Mount, a category C prison. Join a supportive team working Monday-Sunday to create a safe and nurturing environment. The facility operates like a self-contained town, requiring a team committed to smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, families, and the community.
As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and ensuring safety and security for all.
Responsibilities and Requirements
* Minimum of two years’ experience as an electrician
* Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems
* Knowledge of planned preventive maintenance
* Qualifications: C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation), NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
* 18th Edition wiring regulations
* Certificate in BS7671
* Good health & safety knowledge
* Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
