We are working as the internal recruitment partner for our client, a well-established organisation delivering quality-focused engineering and supply chain solutions to the aerospace industry.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated Quality team in a crucial Inspector role, ensuring that incoming and outgoing products meet exacting standards and customer requirements. Responsibilities:
* Performing dimensional, visual, and documentation inspections on parts received from suppliers and products ready for customer delivery.
* Selecting items for ad hoc sample inspection based on risk, non-conformance trends, or customer feedback.
* Maintaining and updating inspection checklists for various products.
* Completing detailed inspection reports and performance records.
* Assisting with root cause investigations and customer return analysis.
* Logging and addressing quality concerns, liaising with relevant stakeholders to drive improvements.
* Creating and managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinating supplier returns.
* Monitoring and maintaining shelf-life inventory items.
* Defining and upholding inspection standards for incoming goods.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience in a quality inspection role is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided for the right candidate with the right attitude and potential.
* The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, or a willingness to learn.
* Strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a team-focused approach.
* Strong organisation, prioritisation, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
* A high level of attention to detail and the ability to work under own initiative.
Benefits
In return we are offering:
* A competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
* Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Flexibility is required, with occasional need to work until 3:00 pm on Fridays, and start times may vary depending on business needs.
