Two opportunities have arisen within the Medical Care Group for a fixed term temporary contracts into Deputy General Manager (DGM) roles within Networked Medicine. One of this is for 4 months and the second is for 9 months. They are covering secondments of the substantive DGMs. There is flexibility across the specialties but this would include a combination of Neurology, Stroke, Cardiology and Rheumatology. The medical care group also has an advert live for a permanent Deputy General Manager post within Specialist medicine. Masters’ degree or equivalent relevant experience to the role or demonstrable equivalent working experience. Management qualification. Evidence of continuing professional development. Desirable criteria Healthcare qualification. Experience Essential criteria Acute NHS hospital operational experience. Extensive line management and problem solving experience. Successful change management experience. Writing, implementing and monitoring policies for quality control and service delivery. Budgetary experience and delivery of Cost Improvement Schemes. Leading and supporting managers with the development of retention and succession plans Able to influence decision making and challenge at a senior level.
