Position Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Business Partner to lead strategic commercial activities within our organization. As a vital part of the Finance and Corporate Commercial team, you will collaborate with colleagues to meet customer and stakeholder needs and guide team members in executing commercial initiatives aligned with public accountability standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop relationships to support cost reduction and value for money in commercial activities.
2. Advise at appropriate levels across the organization on commercial and procurement matters.
3. Support the development of the DBS Commercial Strategy and implement a Strategic Commercial Business Partnering Model.
4. Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders, providing guidance on policy, planning, and strategy.
5. Develop and negotiate procurement strategies and manage contractual risks.
6. Lead the mobilization of new contracts and oversee contract management to ensure delivery and compliance.
7. Ensure adherence to procurement laws, government policies, and best practices.
8. Manage high-value and complex procurements, ensuring value for money and compliance.
Candidate Profile
* Ability to analyze complex MI and present findings clearly.
* Experience managing multiple projects and strategic objectives.
* Proven track record in leading complex commercial projects and managing stakeholder relationships.
* Leadership experience in developing and guiding teams.
Qualifications and Technical Skills
* Willingness to complete the Contract Management Capability Programme at foundation level.
* Knowledge of the Gov.uk Sourcing Playbook, Contract Management Standards, and related policies.
* Compliance with BPSS security requirements.
