CNC Machine programmer and setter at Dietec Precision Engineering

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist from within the mould and die sector to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in programming, setting and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse, modify and produce 3D models in order to create and edit machining programs using Hexagon Visi (other software considered).
* Set and operate Hurco CNC machines with minimal supervision, ensuring the highest quality of work.
* Select machine operations, set the machine tools required for each as well as the feeds and speeds.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings to produce quality components using a variety of materials.
* Using basic inspection equipment to check parts against tolerances.
* Maintain general workshop housekeeping, machine maintenance, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
* Maintain an accurate time sheet.
* Stay up to date with the latest tooling and machining techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications/Experience
Must Have:
* GCSE Math and English or equivalent.
* Minimum of 5 years experience within the Toolmaking industry. Wax Pattern Tooling or Plastic Injection Tools.
* Proficiency in producing CNC programs.
* Competency operating CNC machines and associated workshop tools and equipment.
* Ability to work with various materials: Aluminium, Steel, Brass, Graphite.
* Ability to work safely and independently while managing multiple tasks.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem solving.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Reliable time keeping and organizational skills.
Would Ideally Have:
* Experience running Hurco CNC Milling Machines.
* Experience using Hexagon Visi CAD/CAM software.
What We Offer:
* Up to £23 per hour depending on experience.
* 1.5 x pay for overtime hours.

* Training on Hexagon Software.
