Job Description

The Venue Manager will lead the planning and hands-on delivery of Food & Beverage (F&B) operations at Silverstone Circuit. This role involves planning, managing, and overseeing all Silverstone events, collaborating with and coordinating all internal stakeholders, ensuring we deliver a first-class service for the client, customers, and suppliers to maximise profitability, and complying with all company and legislative requirements.

Job Requirements

Essential

* Demonstrable experience of effectively leading a team, including managing performance, coaching, and handling conflict;
* Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective business and customer relationships;
* Customer-focused, driven by achievement and results, with the ability to present and sell an extended service offering;
* Able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen, with a good grasp of profit and loss and the ability to apply to operational decisions;
* Good standard of administrative, numeracy and literacy ability, and fully IT literate (Excel to Intermediate level);
* Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel to Silverstone Circuit;
* Good working knowledge and practical application of Food Hygiene legislation;
* Good understanding of, and commitment to, working within best practice in relation to Health and Safety;
* Personal Licence Holder and able to act as Designated Premises Supervisor;
* Full valid UK driving licence;
* Physically fit and strong with high levels of stamina.

Desirable

* 3–5 years' experience in F&B event operations or similar.
* Experience delivering large-scale, high-volume F&B operations.

Job Responsibilities

* Manage and grow client relationships at Silverstone, ensuring needs are met and expectations exceeded
* Act as the main operational contact for clients and event organisers during Silverstone events
* Build strong working relationships with Silverstone's venue team, suppliers, and contractors
* Work with internal teams and Silverstone departments to maximise profitability and customer satisfaction
* Plan and deliver all food & beverage (F&B) operations across Silverstone events
* Translate client requirements into operational plans covering products, pricing, staffing, equipment, and logistics
* Prepare forecast P&L, ensure a variety of consumer offerings, and secure sub-contractors
* Provide detailed information packs to sub-contractors, including stock lists, tariffs, attendance figures, and passes
* Schedule and manage set-up, live operation, and breakdown of F&B outlets across the circuit
* Coordinate with suppliers and Silverstone teams for timely delivery of stock, equipment, and POS systems
* Oversee event set-up, including equipment, signage, and service areas
* Lead live F&B operations across the circuit, ensuring smooth service and high standards
* Monitor crowd flow, queues, and service efficiency to maximise sales and customer satisfaction
* Ensure compliance with Silverstone and legal requirements on health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing
* Respond quickly to operational issues and implement solutions
* Recruit, brief, and manage supervisors, staff, and temporary workers for Silverstone events
* Provide visible leadership, motivation, and support to staff across multiple outlets
* Oversee staff welfare, including transport, accommodation, breaks, and respectful treatment
* Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with company and venue standards
* Direct, support, and troubleshoot as required across the circuit
* Manage breakdown and pack-down, ensuring venues are left clean, equipment is returned, and cash reconciled
* Produce post-event analysis including P&L, subcontractor performance, efficiencies, and improvements
* Analyse event performance data such as sales, wastage, and customer feedback
* Recommend improvements to operations, policies, costs, and products/services at Silverstone
* Support credit control by resolving client and subcontractor payment issues
* Contribute to the ongoing development of F&B operations to enhance the Silverstone customer experience
* Carry out any other duties required for the smooth running of Silverstone events
