Overview

The Client Manager delivers growth, client engagement, and operational excellence for MoD market clients. This role is pivotal in driving revenue, profitability, and innovation while aligning with the company’s long‑term vision and values. The closing date for applications is Friday 14th November.


Your role


Strategic Client Relationship Management

* Focus on key account management and first‑class service provision to build strong, long‑lasting relationships.
* Act as the recognised relationship lead, providing knowledge, resources and being the natural point of escalation for issues and opportunities.
* Shape the journey of a strategic partnership with the client, encouraging AtkinsRéalis to contribute to the client’s success and developing a sustainable, long‑term relationship.
* Take responsibility for the overall client experience, positioning AtkinsRéalis as a top, innovative and responsive supplier.


Client Insight and Strategic Understanding

* Be the recognised client expert, understanding the client’s strategy, organisational design, key points of influence, culture, external drivers, and their challenges, risks and opportunities.
* Identify client concerns and pain points and develop value propositions and services to meet these, working closely with practices and winning work.


Collaboration and Leadership

* Communicate and coordinate AtkinsRéalis resources engaging with the client, creating and coordinating a virtual team of client leads from other Business Units.
* Demonstrate strong win‑work leadership behaviours and be a leading advocate for best practices and processes.
* Maintain a stakeholder plan connecting AtkinsRéalis and the client at all relevant levels.
* Ensure client needs and ambitions are communicated internally across relevant practices to align teams to the client opportunity. Support delivery teams through reciprocal sharing of client intelligence to identify opportunities for new work and improve delivery excellence.


Business Development and Growth

* Develop client plans in line with overall market objectives, creating growth opportunities outside current projects and seeking cross‑selling opportunities.
* Build a significant pipeline of qualified opportunities in agreed MoD areas, with potential for long‑term order intake, revenue generation and sustainable growth.
* Work with delivery teams to secure extensions on existing contracts.


Brand Representation and Market Engagement

* Serve as an ambassador for AtkinsRéalis – attending and speaking at relevant events, hosting workshops and leveraging opportunities to build greater awareness.


Commercial Acumen

* Beyond revenue growth, deliver increased profitability through improving our value proposition.


About You

* Strategic and operational leadership.
* Influential communicator and motivator.
* Strong commercial acumen and sales experience.
* Data‑driven decision‑making.
* Proven experience in a senior client‑facing role, ideally within a consultancy or professional services environment.
* Track record of driving revenue and margin growth.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Deep understanding of client strategy, market dynamics and industry trends.
* Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex client relationships.
* Experience applying Key Account Management principles and tools.

Additional Information


Security Clearance

This role may require security clearance. Offers of employment are dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or more.
