When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety Co-Ordinator who will work as part of the Site Health, Safety & Wellbeing team providing the highest standard of advice and support to the SZC Client and Principal Contractor management teams. This role will oversee activities on site, and as a result is based on location at Sizewell C. There may be some opportunity to work flexibly from home, around the project activities, and we provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively. The Role You’ll undertake a range of safety programme-based activities, which include day to day provision of technical advice and guidance on all project health and safety matters and risk based intelligent monitoring all of which contributes to Sizewell C’s goal of zero harm. You’ll participate in creating, maintaining and improving health and safety in the workplace. You’ll hep to influence the Multi-Disciplinary team on health and safety issues relating to pre-construction planning & project evolution. You’ll develop timely project based health and safety risk profiles to direct risk based inspection and other assurance activities. You’ll undertake inspections, carry out accident investigations, keep records and write reports. The Skills You’ll have excellent communication skills with the ability to develop wide network and working relationships within SZC and the construction industry. You’ll be highly skilled in the analysis of technically demanding and detailed information and quickly identify the underlying issues and risks. Strong capacity to be future focused in identifying risks and implications. Strong communication skills to be able to put across complex concepts and data in a way that is readily understood and actionable, using a variety of media. You’ll have excellent knowledge of national and international HSE standards and excellent knowledge of CDM Regulations.
