Position: Configuration Manager
Overview
We are seeking a Configuration Manager to establish and manage a best practice Configuration Management presence within our company, based on ARAS Innovator Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to CM2 compliant process, ensuring data integrity. The role is based at our Barnstaple site with flexible working options. The salary is up to £60k, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the rollout of ARAS Innovator PLM & data input into ERP, establishing processes and managing CM best practices, including publication of CM metrics.
2. Establish and manage the Configuration Management team, providing services supporting ISO 9001 / 10007 / AS9100, Def Stan 05-57, and other CM standards.
3. Conduct Functional & Physical Configuration Audits to ensure product compliance with requirements.
4. Write project/product-specific Configuration Management Plans as needed.
5. Oversee the release of documentation, BoM, part & change data in PLM and its transition to ERP to meet SLA commitments.
6. Manage deviation & concession processes and incorporate changes accordingly.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree, HND, or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline; CM2 accreditation desirable
* Proven experience in Configuration Management, preferably in the defense sector
* Experience with ARAS Innovator PLM or similar systems (training provided)
* Team management and excellent communication skills
* Understanding of electronic manufacturing product lifecycle and ERP systems
